Growing up Orange Julius was a favorite of mine so I craved a plant based substitute. I’ve adapted the traditional dairy based drink into a plant based treat. Silken tofu successfully replaces the milk resulting in a creamy, icy glass of intense orange deliciousness! As a bonus, tofu is packed with protein turning a yummy treat into a guilt-free pleasure. Join us for our Friday night movie night and chances are you’ll catch us indulging an Orange Tofulius shake!

Add all ingredients to a high speed blender. Add more milk as needed to blend.
Blend for 1 minute or until frothy and smooth.

*Coconut milk gives a richer tofulius, but has a distinct coconut flavor. Choose a plant-based milk according to personal preference. Almond or cashew milks also work.

As a college student, this recipe is a staple of mine that I couldn’t do without. The tofu makes this so creamy and adds protein! It takes only a couple of minutes to make and then I can tote it to class with me without the reputation-burning berry smoothies that leave food in my teeth. Not to mention there are only a few ingredients which makes this totally doable. Thank you, humbleapple!
